About US

Education. Advocacy. Empowerment.

Our Mission: to make the law more accessible to all, especially through education and advocacy.

Education. Too often, the law feels like something only legal professionals can understand and navigate. We want to change that. That’s why we make education the cornerstone of our practice, because with education comes empowerment. The better we understand our documents or legal situation, the more confident we are navigating them.

Advocacy. We also aim to empower our clients with our advocacy. Our approach capitalizes on listening to our clients and asking the right questions to find out our clients’ true concerns. Then we craft a strategy with our client to best achieve their objectives. Our approach engages the client throughout the process, improving outcomes.

Why Cornerstone

Great legal planning is like a cornerstone. If a cornerstone is not placed correctly, it can diminish the integrity of the rest of the building. A cornerstone can occasionally be embellished, but it's never the aesthetic focus of the building. Just the same, if you start with great legal planning, the rest of your building - your life and your legacy - can last for generations to come. But perhaps most importantly, great legal planning is about allowing you to focus on the things that matter most. Cornerstone wants you to have a strong foundation, so you can focus on the things that matter in life, especially the loved ones you share it with.

Attorney Kilkenny, the founder, may have an undergraduate degree in theology, but Cornerstone is actually an architectural reference.
